Based on the Noritsu Koki Group's approach to sustainability, Teibow Group promotes group-wide efforts to address global and social issues.
We aim to further realize the Group's mission of "enriching society and people" through these sustainability initiatives.

We actively promote environmental considerations throughout our product development and supply processes, taking into account the entire product lifecycle, and we are committed to fulfilling our responsibility to protect the global environment.

  • Delivering Environmentally
    Conscious Products

    Delivering Environmentally Conscious Products

    In response to growing customer demand for environmen-tally friendly products, we are developing fiber stick nibs, used for air freshener sticks, made from 100% recycled plastic and fiber nibs made from environmentally friendly biomass materials.
    We are also working on a development of manufacturing methods that do not use organic solvents, which are feared to have a negative impact on the environment.

    Responding to climate change

    We are working on various reductions in order to achieve the Noritsu Koki Group's target of reducing Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by 2030 from fiscal 2023 levels. (Level consistent with “SBT 1.5°C” target)
    In 2023, we introduced solar power generation systems at two domestic sites.
    We are also focusing on reducing energy consumption by introducing energy-saving equipment, improving the effi-ciency of our production system, and innovating technolo-gies.

  • Chemical substance management

    Chemical substance management

    In addition to complying with various laws and regulations related to chemical substances, we strictly manage chemi-cal substances through regular environmental measurements.
    We also recycle about 70% of the amount of chemical sub-stances we use and strive to reduce the amount of dis-charged substances based on the policy of minimizing the discharge of chemical substances.
    In the event of leakage of them due to natural disasters or accidents, we have prepared a manual and conduct regu-lar education and training.

We hold monthly quality control meetings and annual on-site quality control audits for each manufacturing department.
We also work to improve quality through QC activities.
Hamamatsu Metal Works is certified under the international standard ISO 9001 and under-goes annual surveillance audits to maintain this certification.

Teibow Group Quality Policy

Teibow Group promotes the following quality policy based on the principle of "Customer First".

that satisfies our customers with a wide range of information.

We will accurately grasp the needs of our customers and respond to them promptly and appropriately.

We will set "quality goals" in January, the beginning of each fiscal year,
and implement measures to achieve them.

Responsible Procurement Activities

With the goal of building an environmentally and socially responsible supply chain, procure-ment activities are conducted in Teibow Group based on the "Procurement Policy" and the "Responsible Mineral Procurement Policy" of Noritsu Koki Group.
We established the “Noritsu Koki Group Procurement Guidelines,” which specifically outlines standards and approaches to behavior that we expect our business partners to observe and practice, with the aim of further advancing our procurement activities based on our procure-ment policy in January 2025.
The guidelines are based on the Responsible Business Alliance, RBA, Code of Conduct and the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association, JEITA,Guidelines for Responsible Business Conduct, and consist of eight sections: Labor, Health and Safety, Environment, Ethics, Quality and Safety, Information Management, Business Continuity Plan and Management System.

We are promoting awareness of our procurement policy and guidelines among our suppli-ers through various forms of dialogue.
We will continue to value these dialogues with suppliers in order to further strengthen our relationships with them.

Teibow Group's business has grown by responding to customer needs with our technologi-cal capabilities and our ability to make suggestions.
We believe that each of our employees supports this technological and proposal capability, and that the growth of a company depends on the growth of its employees.
It's one of our goal to become the company that can continue to provide technology that is useful to both of our customers and society by developing the individual strengths of our employees and by building a structure and culture that brings these individual strengths together throughout the company.

    Human Resource Development

    We strive to create a corporate culture that encourages employees to take on challenges without fear of failure through a "workplace mentor system" in which a senior employee provides guidance and support to each new em-ployee, and a system that recognizes employees' efforts and achievements from various perspectives.
    We also conduct workshop-type in-house trainings and QC activities across divisions to mobilize individual strengths and enhance their team power.
    In addition, we carry out trainings for on-site engineers within "NEXT," a facility dedicated to the development divi-sions, and invite outside lecturers to share their technical skills and knowledge across divisions and strengthen rela-tionships among them.

  • Occupational Safety and Health

    In order to realize a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, Teibow Group strives to continuously im-prove occupational health and safety and promotes prevention of occupational accidents and maintenance and promotion of health throughout the organization based on the following policy.

    1. We comply with laws, regulations, and other requirements to which we agree concerning occupational health and safety.
    2. We conduct risk assessments, identify sources of hazards, and implement countermeasures to continuously im-prove the safety and health environment in the workplace.
    3. We regularly provide education and training on health and safety to our employees to raise awareness and strengthen practical skills.
    4. We actively engage in mental health measures and work environment improvement and promote the creation of a comfortable workplace to maintain mental and physical health.
    5. We emphasize dialogue with employees and conduct safety and health activities that reflect the voices of those onsite.

    We proactively provide various types of support to improve the Japanese language skills of foreign employees and ensure their long-term employment. We also actively support the creation of a work environment in which it is easy to work with foreign employees, including team members who welcome foreign employees.

    Aiming to employ more people with disabilities than the legally mandated employment rate, we are working to sup-port the independence of people with disabilities through long-term continuous employment in cooperation with external organizations, and to create a workplace where people with disabilities can play an active role.

  • Respect for Human Rights

    Under the Noritsu Koki Group Human Rights Policy, Teibow Group is committed to fulfilling its responsibility to respect the human rights of all people involved in its business activities.
    The results of human rights due diligence are used to identify human rights risks and pro-mote the formulation of measures to avoid them and countermeasures when they occur.
    We conduct human rights training to ensure that all employees are fully aware of our human rights policy.
    We also conduct communication and training aimed at eliminating harassment, and have established a hotline for all employees involved with the company, both internally and externally, so that they can safely consult with us at any time.

    Recognized as a “Corporation with Excellent Health Management 2025

    The Certification System for Excellent Health Management
    Corporations is a system established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, METI, in FY2016 with the aim of creating an environment in which corporations, including large corporations and small and medium-sized companies, that practice particularly excellent health manage-ment can be evaluated by employees, job applicants, related companies and financial institutions by making them visible.
    Based on the evaluation criteria established by the Study Group on Pro-motion of Health Management, which is jointly organized by the 150,000 Companies WG for Health Management and Health Declaration of the Japan Health Council, the Japan Health Council certifies “Excellent Health Management Corporations”.
    Teibow was certified in the small- and medium-sized corporations cate-gory.

  • A bronze medal, given to top 35% of companies, has been awarded to Teibow
    in sustainability rating evaluated by EcoVadis in France.

    EcoVadis in France

    EcoVadis is an organization that evaluates the sustainability of more than 130,000 companies in 220 industries in 180 countries around the world.
    EcoVadis sustainability ratings are based on global sustainability
    standards in the areas of environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable sourcing.
    Teibow received the Bronze Medal, which is awarded to the top 35%.

  • Teibow was rated as "Class S", an excellent energy-saving company,
    in the Business Classification Evaluation System by the Agency for
    Natural Resources and Energy, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry with the
    reports we submitted in 2023 showing the result of 2022.

    The Business Classification Evaluation System was implemented based on the reports made by the Energy Conserva-tion Subcommittee of the Advisory Committee for Natural Resources and Energy on August 28th, 2015, and aims to encourage companies to objectively recognize their own energy conservation efforts by publicizing outstanding energy conservation companies.
    Teibow was recognized for achieving its effort target, to reduce average energy consumption per unit of output by at least 1% per year for five years, by reducing the power consumption of production facilities, optimizing the use of air conditioning, etc.

    Business Classification Rating System

  • Noritsu Koki Group has responded to the 2024 CDP Questionnaire.

    CDP is an international environmental non-profit organization that collects, analyzes, and discloses responses to questionnaires from companies and local governments around the world requesting disclosure of information related to climate change and other environmental issues.
    Noritsu Koki Group has been responding to CDP questionnaires since 2022, and received a “B” score in the latest CDP Climate Change Report 2024.
